Just less than a year ago I met the owner of Hess Ornamental, LLC at the Convention Center in Lancaster during the Historic Home Show. It was here that I had the opportunity to view their product and was so impressed that I scheduled an appointment for an estimate. My home was constructed in the 1870's and I was looking to replace the front fence and gates that would complement the historical architecture. In addition and most important it would serve as better aesthic link between two properties. I requested that Hess be creative in the design of the fence and gates to match other ornamental features of my home. Without question, the finished product was excellent and I have received many compliments from neighbors and friends.
After having hardscaping done to the front of our house, it needed a railing to set it off. Not wanting just any railing, we went to a Home Show to shop for a product and craftsman. It was there that we met Scott Hess, owner of Hess Ornamental Iron. Even though we live 50 miles away from his shop, he agreed to visit our home and give us ideas. We were impressed with his portfolio and willingness to work with us on a custom design for an aluminum railing that compliments and completes our hardscaping.
Our neighbors have all remarked about how beautiful it looks and we are still in awe about how it sets off the front of the house!
